Other email addresses needed

Hey if you know emails of any relatives, would you forward them to me, either here on this blog or at my email: martha@sfasbury.org

I'm not sure that this is working the way I intended, but am still trying.

We're back

Back from vacation in Mexico. Great to get away, to just read and lay around and eat and sleep. What a life! Will be headed out from Mpls to SF today and back to work tomorrow. We went with Jess and Doug, and two of their friends, Matt and Wendy. It is quite different to go with the adult children rather than the days of dependent children. Ken and I did not stay up for one show, they start at 9:45 and we're tired by then, but when the kids were young, we went to every show! Content to lay on the beach and drift off rather than playing bocce ball or volleyball (like I ever did! I guess I did one time). One time when it was just Ken and me on vacation, we took meringue and salsa dance lessons, and I *almost* got it down.

It was terribly cool and cloudy in Mexico. But we still got sun. Went to ChichenItza to view the Mayan ruins. This is the first time back since before my Jess died. I was okay going. The spirits of the past still visit me but not sometimes, and this was one of them.

Got all my books read for school but no papers written. I'll have to set aside some time and begin drafting them while the material I read is still fresh.

Will send a picture when I get one.

Moving to a new Apartment

Well my roommate and I haven't been getting along so I will be moving to another location. I'll be moving in with some of my friends from another school. This will be cheaper and a lot more fun. Can't wait to get moved out. Should happen here in the next 2 weeks.

Vacation

I hope that there will be posts other than mine to this blog. I hope that this will be a way to stay in touch with family any time during the day or night. The blog is only for family, it's private not public. So hopefully, when I return from vacation on the 17th of January, there will be lots of posts for me to read. I may have a chance to log on to the internet at the hotel, but I'm not sure.

Ken and I are headed to Playa del Carmen, just south of Cancun. Ken's daughter, Jess and her husband, Doug, two of their friends and Ken and I will be spending some time at Sandos Hotel Eco. I hope to get all my seminary books read and papers started while there, but at least I will do that in the sun :-)

We have had snow galore here. It's deep and for two days now the schools have been closed. Very unusual.

Take care everyone, and as I say, hope to be able to read lots of new posts!

Family Blogs

I have a blog, Blessed to be a Blessing
and David has a blog, Servants and Warriors.
Let's all the blogs the family may have, okay?

How to become a member

I'll email you, or you email me, and I will send you instructions.

Essentially it seems that blogger requires me to email an invitation to you. You will be asked to open a google account, and I think that's it. We shall see.

Martha's Family Blogsite

Well, I think this may work better than the Facebook site that I thought would work to keep in touch with family. I didn't like the FB so well because it would not email me notifications when anyone posted, requiring me to actually go to that FB site each time I wanted to see if anyone was talking.

I think this site will be more user-friendly and still some private. Only those who are related to me will be able to post, so when we talk about family stuff, the whole world should not be able to see it.

You can poste on the site, you can comment to posts, and get notifications, I think.
